Pleasant Valley is about 5 miles South of Le Claire, Iowa and is located on US Highway 67.  Pleasant Valley is a very small town and,as far as I know, has one cemetery.  The Pleasant Valley Cemetery is in Pleasant Valley and up on a hill.  It’s co-ordinates are N41° 34.435’ W090° 25.435’.

I have not obtained access to the official records for the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.  Since I have a few family members buried there I photographed a very small portion of the headstones in the cemetery.

To get to the Pleasant Valley Cemetery I used, as usual, a starting point of the corner of Jones St. And Cody Road (Highway 67) in Le Claire, Iowa.  Go 5 miles South on US Highway 67 and you will be in the very small town of Pleasant Valley.  At exactly 5 miles you will be at a street to the right.  I didn’t see any street signs at the intersection but it is the corner where the old stone U.S. Post Office is located.  Turn right there and in about 1/2 block you will be at a stop sign in front of the Post Office.  Cross that street and you will be on Spencer Road.  From the place you turned right it is 0.4 mile to the cemetery.  Don’t let the narrow, winding road with the sign that says it’s a private road for use of the residents and the cemetery bother you.  The cemetery is up there so just keep going.
