Camanche is about 16 miles North of Le Claire, Iowa.  Camanche is a small town but it has, as far as I know, one cemetery.  The Rose Hill Cemetery is on the North end of Camanche.  It’s co-ordinates are N41° 47.504’ W090° 15.181’.

I have not obtained access to the official records for the Rose Hill Cemetery.  Since I have a few family members buried there and a lady on the East Coast asked me to find some of her relation, I photographed a very small portion of the headstones in the cemetery.

To get to the Rose Hill Cemetery I used, as usual, a starting point of the corner of Jones St. And Cody Road (Highway 67) in Le Claire, Iowa.  Go 15.6 miles North on US Highway 67 and you will come to a road to the right with a sign that say “Camanche”.  Turn right and go 2.1 miles.  You will come to a “Y” with the base of the “Y” straight ahead.  Turn left onto the other side of the “Y” (or jump across the little “parking area” like I do) and then take an immediate right onto Rose Hill Ave.  That will take you to the Rose Hill Cemetery which is only about  0.1 mile away.
